I am a complete tennis beginner while my wife has some experience; Marty was able to adapt his teaching methods for both of us, and provided us with the fundamental instruction that we needed to pick up and play immediately while forming good foundational habits. Marty is a rare find in a coach. I was a college tennis player who took over a decade off after knee injuries and having kids. I came on the court so inconsistent but after just three lessons in the week I stayed at Bayside, Marty helped me bring back my forehand, serve, and gave me a ton of tips to take with me into my tennis game. So appreciative of Marty. Wish he was closer so that I could keep taking lessons from him! If you’re considering lessons with him, look no further, and get out there! You won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful week of lessons with Coach Marty! He showed me how to improve my serve grip, add spin to my forehand and backhand, and how to slice! He also coached my 16-year-old to prep him for an upcoming tournament, providing him with great tips on adding variety to his game as well as giving him (and his dad) a super workout. I highly recommend lessons with Coach Marty! He is a positive and encouraging tennis professional, and he will improve your game no matter what level you are.

What a fantastic teacher! My daughter had several tennis lessons with Marty, and I joined her for one of them. I love Marty's straightforward approach to skills, his encouraging style, and his overall attitude. As beginners, both my daughter and I appreciated his advice to take it nice and easy so that you can actually play with your partner instead of running after balls the whole time. I highly recommend Marty!

Marty is an excellent coach. I am taking lessons as a beginner to tennis. Each lesson is challenging but ends with a sense of improvement and accomplishment. He is encouraging, gives detailed tweaks to form, and always has an analogy or simplification. It has been a great joy to be able to learn from him!

Marty is the best! He’s been giving my three young boys lessons (pickleball and tennis) for the past few years. He got them hooked on racquet sports and excited to play every time we visit the area. I've done clinics and private lessons with Marty, gaining a few transformative gems each time. He has a great sense of humour, making tennis fun. Marty has a keen eye for detail in stroke mechanics. Marty teaches my kids tennis- he is the best coach my kids ever had- they learned a lot in just after few lessons... There aren’t enough words to describe the amazing person and coach that Marty is. Patient, positive, fun and kind are just a few. His knowledge and love of tennis is clear as he is able to make you feel more confident in your game and love doing it. I took private lessons with him for a Summer three mornings a week and now feel so confident in my ability to play with seasoned athletes.
